Roblox Plus - Everything You Need to Know (Replaces Premium!)

Roblox just officially announced Roblox Plus, a brand new subscription launching April 30, 2026 for $4.99/month. It's replacing Roblox Premium and comes with a bunch of new perks that Premium never had — including free private servers, free Robux transfers, and item discounts that grow the longer you stay subscribed.

What Do You Get With Roblox Plus?

Here's the full breakdown of what subscribers get:

• 10% discount on in-game items and avatars — instant from day one. This covers game passes, developer products, avatar items, and more.
• 20% discount from month 3 onward — the longer you stay subscribed, the more you save.
• Free unlimited paid private servers — any paid private server across all supported games is free to join as a Plus subscriber.
• Free Robux transfers — for the first time ever, you can send Robux to other players with no transaction fee. Recipients don't need Plus. Users under 18 need parental approval for every transfer.
• Marketplace access — trade and resell Limited items, publish and sell avatar items on the Roblox Marketplace.
• A Plus badge on your profile — a new badge replacing the old Premium one.

Bundles With Monthly Robux (Coming Soon After Launch)

Shortly after launch, Roblox will offer three bundle options that combine Plus with a monthly Robux stipend:

• Plus 500 — Roblox Plus + 500 Robux/month
• Plus 1000 — Roblox Plus + 1000 Robux/month
• Plus 2000 — Roblox Plus + 2000 Robux/month

So if you were on Premium for the Robux, you'll want to wait for these bundles before switching.

What Happens to Roblox Premium?

Premium isn't disappearing overnight, but it is being phased out:

• No new Premium sign-ups after April 30.
• If you cancel Premium, you can't resubscribe.
• Existing Premium subscribers keep their monthly Robux and marketplace access.
• Starting May 30, 2026, the 10% bonus on Robux purchases ends and the Premium badge gets removed.
• Every Premium subscriber gets a free 1-month Roblox Plus trial — the link will be emailed on launch day.

What About Creators and Developers?

If you make Roblox games, Plus actually opens up three solid new ways to earn:

• Higher purchase conversion: Roblox covers the discount themselves, so your revenue share stays the same. Plus subscribers just buy more because prices feel cheaper for them.
• Sign-up bonus: If a player subscribes to Plus from inside your game using the PromptRobloxSubscriptionPurchase API, you earn 250 Robux/month for their first 3 months — up to 750 Robux per new subscriber.
• Private server time earnings: If a Plus subscriber spends 60+ cumulative minutes in your paid private server over 30 days, you earn up to 100 Robux per subscriber per server (up to 5 servers per subscriber count).

Is Roblox Plus Worth It?

If you play a lot and buy passes or avatar items regularly, the 10–20% discount adds up quickly. The free private servers are genuinely huge — if your friends usually host paid ones, Plus pays for itself almost immediately.

The main downside is that monthly Robux aren't included at base price — you have to pay extra for the bundles. So if you were on Premium mostly for the Robux stipend, wait for the Plus 500/1000/2000 bundles before making the switch.
